Wesleyan University’s non-commercial free-form radio station. Although technically outside of the New Haven area, WESU’s radio waves do make it south. Keep an ear out for Rob DeRosa’s Homegrown local music show, Thursday’s 5:05-6pm.
WNHU 88.7 FM

University of New Haven’s student run radio station. Includes a wide variety of programming including the Go Kat Go! and Wild Woman Radio shows, among others.
WPKN 89.5 FM

Bridgeport non-profit/listener supported radio with a variety of programming. Although technically outside of the New Haven area, WPKN’s radio waves do make it north. Listen for Bob D’Aprile’s ‘Connecticut Rocks’ local music show, Mondays 2am-6am and the second Tuesday of each month, 10pm-2am.

CT ROCKS is on WPKN in Bridgeport, a non-profit, listener-supporter, community radio station. 89.5 FM / Bridgeport and New Haven … The show is called CONNECTICUT ROCKS and I play tracks from Connecticut indie bands/performers past, present and future … you can access the archives of the show at

The show is on live Mondays (late night Sunday) at 2 am to 6 am, and the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 10pm to 2 am.
I may turn one of the 2am slots into a Free Form Frenzy.
